1. Nominators are asked to recommend students who have demonstrated outstanding volunteer
community service. Neighborhood Scholars must meet the following criteria:
- Ages 15 through 19
- Resident of New England (ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT)
- In high school, or a recent high school graduate
2. If selected as a Neighborhood Scholar, the student and a representative from their nonprofit
are asked to attend the award ceremony and check presentation. NECN will also videotape footage
for on air coverage and the Public Service Announcement.
3. Application Deadline:
Applications must be completed online no later than Monday, November 16, 2009.
