2026 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT
“When it came time to start thinking about college, we both knew it would be a financial hardship for my family, since the death of my father left my mother with the burden of being the only income source. Barely having enough money for things like rent, it would be almost impossible to fund a college education, even with financial aid. This scholarship would be life-changing for me, allowing me to attend the University of Florida, which is my dream school. Even though I have been accepted, my attendance is not guaranteed because of my financial need. At the University of Florida, I would study Criminology on a Pre-Law track, hoping I can make a small difference not only in the world but in my family, and also become a successful attorney”
