"My dad taught me that even the hardest parts of life are not bad, they are just hard. Obtaining my degree is about honoring his memory by giving other families what his medical team gave us—time. This scholarship would allow me to pursue my pre-med degree without constant fear of how we will afford it. It would ease the burden on my mom. Adequate life insurance could not bring my dad back, but this scholarship can help ensure his legacy lives on."
