Peter Gordon is Chief Executive Officer, John Hancock Retirement Plan Services, part of John Hancock, the U.S. division of Toronto-based Manulife.

John Hancock Retirement Plan Services (JHRPS) is an industry leader in helping individuals realize the retirement futures they have promised themselves. JHRPS offers retirement plans to organizations ranging from start-ups to providing total retirement outsourced solutions to very large businesses across the United States.

Before taking on his current position in 2011, Mr. Gordon was the President of John Hancock Financial Network, the company’s national network of independent firms, and its broker-dealer, Signator Investors, Inc. Mr. Gordon has spent the majority of his 30 years with the company in the retirement plan business, first joining Manulife in 1985 as a pension sales representative in Los Angeles. In 1991, he became the Southeast Regional Sales Manager and later the National Sales Manager responsible for overall retirement plan sales in the U.S.

He is a member of the Trustee Advisory Board at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Mr. Gordon graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with a B.A. in Economics.
