Neal Kerins is Vice President, Product Development, for John Hancock Insurance. In this role, he is responsible for the product development and pricing of John Hancock's competitive insurance portfolio as well as setting and executing the business strategy. Under his leadership, the Product Development team has transformed New Business profitability by creating a portfolio that appeals to shareholders and customers. Mr. Kerins is a member of the U.S. Leadership Team.
In his previous role as Assistant Vice President of U.S. Insurance Product Management at John Hancock, Mr. Kerins led a team of product managers, specialists, and actuaries to generate ideas, obtain leadership buy-in on their recommendations, and drive development of new insurance products that supported the strategic business objectives. More notably, he led the product workstream that launched the company’s ground-breaking John Hancock Vitality Program — a market-leading solution that supports customers as they take small, everyday steps towards a longer, healthier life.
Before joining John Hancock, Mr. Kerins held a series of marketing and product management roles at New England Life. He has a bachelor's degree in both Management Science and Philosophy from the University of New York at Geneseo, and holds Series 7 and 24 securities registrations.
