Alex Silva

Chief Financial Officer

Alex Silva is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for John Hancock. Alex is responsible for the financial wellbeing and performance of John Hancock including the management and explanation of financial results as well as the financial assessment of key business strategies.
 

Prior to his current role, Alex was the Pricing Officer for John Hancock Insurance where he led a team of actuaries and oversaw the financial transformation of new business. Before pricing life insurance, Alex spent time pricing immediate annuities and long-term care insurance at John Hancock.
 

Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts in Actuarial Science from Bryant University and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
