Brooks Tingle is Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy, John Hancock Insurance, for John Hancock, the U.S. division of Toronto-based Manulife.
Mr. Tingle has overall management responsibility for John Hancock’s insurance marketing activities as well as the development and implementation of John Hancock’s market expansion strategy. He is driving the modernization of the marketing function through digital strategy, advanced analytics, channel expansion and a focus on customer experience and engagement.
Mr. Tingle joined John Hancock in 1987 and has held diverse roles of steadily increasing responsibility in the company’s life, annuity and long-term care insurance businesses. Prior to his current role, Mr. Tingle served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for John Hancock Life Insurance Company and was responsible for all operations including new business, underwriting, claims, information technology, policy administration, customer service and reinsurance administration.
Mr. Tingle is a member of Manulife’s Global Leadership team. He is a member of the board of The Partnership, Inc., the board of Life Insurance Council of New York, Inc., and the Citizen Schools Massachusetts Advisory Board. He also serves on the board of the Medical Information Bureau, Inc., and as a director and member of the Executive Committee on the board of the New England-Canada Business Council. He is a member of IBM’s North American Insurance Advisory Council, LIMRA’s Strategic Marketing Issues Committee and the ACLI’s Data Analytics Task Force.
Mr. Tingle received his MBA from Boston University and a B.A. in Economics from the University of New Hampshire. He is a FINRA registered representative and registered principal.
